Tracing the firm’s history to 1936, ours is a great story to tell. In the three quarters of a century that have passed since Weksler Bregman was formed, we have accomplished a great deal, including growing our team to some 70 people, expanding our reach into new global markets, and establishing our firm by hard work as one of the leading law firms in Israel. Throughout the decades and challenging economic times, we have retained our clients and continued to help them succeed, all while keeping a tradition and strict standards of excellence and integrity.
How it all began
Weksler Bregman was founded by the late advocate Eli A. Kirschner as E.A. Kirschner & Co. in Tel Aviv in 1936. What started as a small legal office has consistently grown and matured, and in 1968, when advocate Jacob Weksler joined the partnership, the firm became known as Kirschner, Menashe, Weksler.
The year 1985 saw advocate Uri Bregman, the firm’s previous young intern and then associate, become a partner of the growing law firm, by then named Weksler Bregman. In 1999, Adv. Weksler retired and entrusted the leadership of the practice in the hands of his partner and former intern, Uri Bregman.
An Era of Expansion
An era of expansion began. As we continued the tradition of forming close partnerships with our clients and Uri Bregman infused the firm with a culture defined by teamwork and friendships. Guided by a commitment to strong ethics and professionalism, Weksler Bregman has grown over the past two decades through massive organic growth and has evolved into a "one stop shop" globally connected and internationally acclaimed law firm with more than 45 lawyers, which practices are fully integrated to provide the full range of service capabilities to its multinational and domestic clients needs.
Weksler Bregman has demonstrated the capability to grow consistently, reliably and organically. Over the two decades that passed, the quest for new, global markets has dominated the agenda of many of our clients. As existing and new clients are faced with complex opportunities, business challenges and unique legal issues, they turn to Weksler Bregman because of the breadth of our legal experience, deep understanding of business, specific industry knowledge and our ability to work closely with them to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Accompanying our clients in their global expansions and seeing things from their perspective, we have acted in and counseled on complex transactions as well as and in issuance of shares of Israeli companies in overseas stock exchanges. Our firm has enhanced its alliances with leading overseas law firms in North & Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East and has become a globally connected firm advising on cross-border transactions.
