Recently, after years of unclear legal opinions made by labr judicial tribunals, the National Labor Tribunal has decided to set a precedent dealing with the issue of the rights and obligations of employer, while seeking to monitor its employees` actions in the digital surroundings of their workplace. Amomgst others, the National Labor Tribunal has set very specific limitations on employers` ability to monitor and supervise their employees` actions in the workplace`s digital space, while minimizing their ability to intrude e-mail communications made by their employess.
This article briefly summarizes the main issues dealt in the court`s decision, and lists certain conclusions with respect to such issues.
